It can easily be installed anywhere near an AC outlet. The AC connector with 6ft/1.8m cable ensures that you will never have to change the battery.
It requires no hub or subscription service, just connect it to your Wi-Fi network and download the Wstein App from the App Store. (Note: only supports Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz.)
Use the screw and wall anchor to mount the base cover onto the wall and plug it into a power source. Alternatively, you can just place it under a water tank or sink and avoid mounting.
