You are bidding on a souvenir booklet / program for the christening of the nuclear-powered aircraft
carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CVN 79). Ceremony took place on 7 December 2019 at Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, VA. 40 page booklet has many photographs of the ship's construction including the first cut of steel, keel laying ceremony, island landing, and flooding of the drydock. Ship was christened by President Kennedy's daughter, Caroline, who christened her father's first namesake aircraft carrier, CV 67, in 1967. Booklet also includes "A Tribute to My Father" written by Caroline Kennedy and includes many family photographs. Also includes a sequence of events insert page. Overall, excellent condition.
