Description
The Sansui AU-α707XR, released in Japan in 1994, is a gorgeous vintage amplifier of exceptional quality. The AU-α707XR offers a rated output power of 130W+130W at 8 Ohms, with total harmonic distortion (THD) of < 0.003%. This thing is built like a tank, but to a high degree of precision. The amp circuitry is of the highest quality, with Sansui’s highly advanced New HYPER α-X circuit. In this circuit, zero electrical noise is generated in the amp circuit during operation. Furthermore, great sound is made better by Sansui’s New Diamond Differential Circuit in the drive stage, in which the output is extracted without phase inversion. This helps the amp respond to instantaneous signals and maintain high current supply for a rapidly changing input signal. The AU-α707XR also features a Non-Magnetic Linear Amplification Power Transistor (NM-LAPT) in the power stage, which provides phenomenal high-frequency performance in the resulting sound. The stability of the power supply is highly enhanced by the use of a newly developed silent power transformer and power supply capacitor.
