Discussion | Anti-HIV jab to cost the SA government

Avbob Investment Plan
MUNICH – A new HIV prevention injection programme is expected to be implemented in more than 800 government health facilities.
This is designed to hopefully stop roughly a third of infections in South Africa, with the potential to eliminate a person’s likelihood of getting HIV.
But the cost is around four times higher than what the government can pay.
Bhekisisa Editor-in-Chief Mia Malan, discussed this from the World AIDS Conference in Munich.
